The Mossberg International Silver Reserve series features: two combos a 12/20 ga. and a 20/28 ga. Both of these combos have blued Barrels with chrome -plated chambers and bores, and wide ventilated rib. They have beautifully scrolled silver receivers, and Turkish Walnut stocks.

The Mossberg® International™ Silver Reserve II Field is a reliable, and value priced over/under shotgun that’s perfect for upland bird hunting, informal sporting clays, or a all-round shotgun. The Silver Reserve II features shell extractors and a tang-mounted safety that doubles as a barrel selector.

The chambers and bores are chrome plated to ensure reliable function and tight shot patterns. A set of 5 flush-fitting, screw-in choke tubes comes with each gun, enhancing its versatility (F, IM, M, IC, C). Dual-locking lugs provide a solid lock-up.

The 12- and 20-gauge Silver Reserve II Fields have 3″ chambers, and the 28-gauge has the standard 2-3/4″ chamber. The Mossberg Silver Reserve II Field Over/Under Shotgun has a beautiful black walnut, hand-checkered stock and forend, and a polished silver-finished receiver with wrap-around scroll engraving. The vent-ribbed barrels are deep blued and have a single bead front sight. The Silver Reserve II Field is light and trim enough to carry comfortably in the field all day, yet rugged enough for high-volume shotgun sports.

Silver Reserve over-unders, on the contrary, are presented as “equally at home in upland fields or shooting clays or 5-Stand”. Features include shell extractors, select black walnut or synthetic stock, matte blue barrels, and 5-Choke Field Set. A tang-mounted safety/barrel selector and a Mossberg logo-engraved receiver available in Satin Silver (paired with Walnut stock) or Matte Blue finish (paired with Black Synthetic stock) round off the package. Select black walnut stocks have checkering on the grip and forend. Silver Reserve break-action shotguns are available in 12ga (28” barrel), 20ga (26” barrel), 28ga (26” barrel) and .410 bore (26” barrel).

The Mossberg Silver Reserve II is a suite of affordable 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 gauge over/under break-open vented rib shotguns. There are six models: each gauge has a “Silver Reserve”, one is the Silver Reserve Youth Bantam and finally there is the Silver Reserve – Eventide.

Silver Reserve II shotguns are chambered in 2 3/4″ for the 28-gauge and 3” for the others. They have elegant accent contours, nice satin walnut, glossy barrels, a thick buttpad and more. They also have checkering on the forend and on the grip.

Of course, these guns have compelling features. For instance, they have ejectors rather than extractors. With extractors, spent casings stay in the gun but are in easy reach. With ejectors, the empty casings fling free. So, if you’ve fired one and break open the gun, only that spent casing is ejected while the unfired cartridge remains in the gun.

The standard barrel selector is ergonomically integrated into the tang safety so you decide which barrel to fire in which order.

The Silver Reserve’s top barrel is crested by a vent rib, but it lacks a mid-rib between the two barrels. The benefit? First, there is a cost savings. Second, it allows the barrels to cool faster (as there is more surface area), and the barrels can expand and contract independently of one another as well.

The four standard models all have a 14” length-of-pull, matte blue barrels, a satin black walnut stock, a bead sight and a set of five choke tubes. The 12-gauge features a 28” long barrel, measures 45.0” overall and weighs 7.5 pounds. The 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 gauge have a 26” barrel and measure 43.0” overall.
